Narrated by the teenage Cassandra, who chronicles in her diary the life of her eccentric family living in a castle in 1930's England. With magnificent performances from Tara Fitzgerald, and Bill Nighy alongside Henry Thomas, Marc Blucas, Sinead Cusack and newcomer Romaloa Garai, the film was a hugely successful British box office hit.
