Angie (Sally Yeh) is an undergraduate from Canada who is on holiday in Hong Kong as well as doing research work for her thesis-“Chinese Superstitionâ€. She looked for accommodation and met Hansom (Raymond Wong). While Angie disguised herself as a ghost to scare Hansom, he was thrown out of the window by a genuine ghost. Detective Valention (Chow Yun Fat) came to investigate the accident and they unfold the actual happening of the tragic evening when Singer Lisa Law had shot her lover.
