A Bitter Rivalry Forces A Man To Choose Between Love And Loyalty...
Against a backdrop of spectacular Arizona desert landscapes, two cowboys engage in a bitter feud over the upbringing of an orphaned baby found in an abandoned emigrant's camp. Cash (William Farnum) and Jeff (J. Farrell MacDonald) both want to raise the child, but Cash claims it as his own. The animosity continues as the former friends, who own adjacent ranches, clash over cattle, water, and mining rights. Meanwhile the foundling, named Bill by his "father," has grown into a handsome young man (William Boyd) who desperately wants the feud to end. Jeff's own child, Mary Ellen (Helen Twelvetrees), has also grown into a beautiful young woman. Bill falls in love with Mary Ellen, which fuels his desire to mend the escalating rift between the two men.
